Responsibilities:
1.- Coordinate the activities of the Center and provide administrative and budgetary support;
2.- Promote communication and collaboration among Center investigators, partners and affiliates;
3.- Assure that individual projects progress in a timely and high quality fashion;
4.- Identify potential new Center participants, collaborating organizations, and research projects;
5.- Provide technical assistance to facilitate the development of new projects and obtainment of extramural funds
6.- Assist in the dissemination of research findings to the practice, research and policy communities;
7.- Contribute to future health policies based on research and evaluation results.
8.- Evaluate the impact of the Center’s activities

Responsibilities:
To serve the evaluation and biostatistical consulting needs of the wide variety of
projects in accordance with each project's needs.
1) Work with investigators to refine protocols and data collection instruments;
2) Finalize plans for randomization schedule, data management, monitoring, quality control and reliability;
3) Coordinate integrating databases from different projects;
4) Provide consulting for baseline, interim, and final analyses and analyze data from specific studies;
5) Centralize, coordinate and assist with program evaluation activities:
6) Develop common baseline and outcome measurements, intervention protocols, and manuals of operation (e.g., demographic measures, behavioral and attitudinal questionnaires for the parents, clinical exams, techniques for obtaining salivary assays, tracking forms).
7) Understand and document differences and similarities among projects in study populations, procedures, providers, and timing of activities.
8) Promote the development of quality research studies based on pilot projects, on intermediate results of major studies, and on related endeavors from residents, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty;
9) Report study information to the Scientific Advisory Board and the Data Safety Monitoring Board

Responsibilities:
To provide an enriched environment for training future health-care professionals and scientists, especially those from underrepresented groups by linking the opportunities in the education and training unit with the Center's research and collaborations.
1) Promote awareness of the Center among students and investigators who may have a research interest in this area, especially future applicants for training grant slots.
2) Serve as a resource for identifying courses, seminars, journal clubs and events on campus and at our collaborating institutions related to health disparities and their elimination.
3) Link research opportunities in the Center with investigators
4) Provide examples from health disparity research to faculty and educators to incorporate into their curricula.
5) Work with the Steering Committee and Research Center Liaisons to link junior and senior investigators, as well as to link those with and without experience working with multi-ethnic populations and cultures.
6) To establish a network of researchers with expertise in oral health disparity research, and assist and mentor less experienced investigators.
7) To encourage investigations that are led or co-led by a minority investigator.
8) To establish a program for deissemination of research information regarding techniques used for conduction oral health research among minority and traditionally underserved populations.
