The University of California's Global Health Institute (UCGHI) recently awarded Dr. Lilliam M. Pinzón (DDS, MS, MPH) a GloCal Health Fellowship to support her study of health conditions in Tijuana, Mexico.

Research analyst Kristin Hoeft (MPH) presented two different posters on CAN DO's SALTF project at the American Public Health Association meeting in Boston.

The first poster (“Rural Hispanic parents’ ideas about children’s salt intake”) presented the beliefs of Latino communities in California concerning table salt, while the second (“Acceptability of fluoridated salt in a rural Latino community in California”) discussed its use.
