Dr. Mertz, an assistant professor at UCSF's School of Dentistry, underscores the importance of public health programs in providing preventive dental care.

A 2012 Gallup survey of employees of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) recently recognized Dr. Stuart A. Gansky (MS, DrPH), director of the Center to Address Disparities in Children's Oral Health (CAN DO), as one of UCSF’s great managers.​

Dr. Gansky is the first UCSF faculty member to win this honor since the introduction of this initiative in December 2011.
