The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) recently awarded the Spencer Foreman Award for Outstanding Community Service to the University of California San Francisco’s (UCSF) School of Medicine in connection with a project aimed at promoting children’s oral health among San Francisco’s Latino community.
Stuart A. Gansky (MS, DrPH) will take over on October 1 as Director of the University of California San Francisco’s (UCSF) Center to Address Disparities in Children's Oral Health (CAN DO).
Dr. Gansky is replacing Judith C. Barker (PhD) who succeeded founding director Jane Weintraub in 2010 after Weintraub left to become Dean of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.
Researchers at the Center to Address Disparities in Children's Oral Health (CAN DO) displayed posters at UCSF's sixth annual Health Disparities Research Symposium. The participants included Alexis Cooke and Cynthia Wides, MA and Kristen Hoeft, PhD.
