
Kristin Hoeft, PhD, MPH
Kristin Hoeft, PhD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Division of Oral Epidemiology and Dental Public Health at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry. Dr. Hoeft has expertise in health education and evaluation, oral health literacy, and qualitative research methods. Her research focuses on making optimal home oral hygiene and dental care experiences accessible to diverse and vulnerable populations and working with community-based settings to implement evidence-based practices in a feasible way. She has worked in the area of children’s oral health disparities for over 15 years and is the current director of UCSF’s California Oral Health Technical Assistance Center (COHTAC). She is affiliated with UCSF’s Healthforce Center, Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and the Center to Address Children’s Oral Health (CAN DO).
